Honda Bounces Back in Thailand

Recently, dealerships such as Bel Air Honda and other American-based Honda arms have felt shudders of the destructive flooding that occurred throughout Thailand. Due to the disaster, many Honda plants within the Bangkok area were shut down, consequentially putting a halt on U.S. production as well. Now, after weeks of reconstruction, some of Thailand's automotive cranks have begun to turn once again.
Industry Minister Wannarat Channukul says, "We're quite confident that most factories will be able to start producing again in December."1 Channukul and other industry officials are displaying ample confidence in facility revival thanks to a stabilized water level.
Several Honda motorcycle models and power products are already back in the swing of production at Thai Honda Manufacturing Co Ltd on the Lat Krabang estate. As far as car plants go, less is known. However, Bel Air Honda can assure you that the automaker isn't taking recovery lightly. Since flooding forced the Rojana park facility to shut-down in October, workers have been persistently draining what water they can. Honda officials expect to begin the cleaning process in early December and re-start vehicle production as soon as possible.
We at Bel Air Honda are extremely thankful for the unfaltering resilience that Honda continues to show. That is why we are so proud to carry a full lineup of new Honda models at our 1800 Bel Air Rd Fallston, MD 21047 location. If you'd like to test drive a vehicle or would simply like to know more about Honda recovery in Thailand, don't hesitate to contact us online or drop by in person.
