It's no secret Honda is hurting from shortages in parts and subsequent changes to production levels. However, such grim circumstances are consuming so much of the media's attention they're actually keeping exciting news of expansion seemingly under wraps.

The Big H is, in fact, planning to sink $97 million into its LINCOLN, Alabama facility to make upgrades necessary for imminent luxury SUV production. That's right, the Honda facility in LINCOLN is planning to add production of the Acura (Honda's luxury arm) MDX in 2013. Installation and testing of new equipment are expected to be finalized…

British TV's Top Gear says FCX Clarity is "the car of the future." Co-host James May visited Los Angeles recently to drive "the most important car since the car was invented."

The hybrid Honda Insight is not the only sedan by the Japanese auto maker praised for its design and eco-friendly fuel efficiency.

May points out that Honda Clarity, is essentially an electric car "without on-board batteries," generating its own electricity with an on-board fuel cell.
