Compared to past years, all was quiet with Honda in 2011. Updates were subtle. We aren't pointing any fingers, just stating the facts, which were largely the effect of Honda having to overcome not only a catastrophic earthquake and tsunami in Japan, but also record flooding in Thailand. All in all, it was an extremely trying year. As we move into the New Year, however, the Big H is feeling rested and ready to charge full force ahead with the bolder changes they know drivers are craving.
Speaking on the more aggressive approach for 2011, John Mendel, Executive VP Auto Sales, Honda North America says, "We want to consumers to know we are back, and we are back in a big way."1 Among the many changes Belair Honda expects from Honda in 2012 are significant revisions to three best-sellers: the Accord, Civic, and CR-V.
What exactly is Honda planning to change and/or improve on for each? The addition of new engines with improved fuel efficiency and a more motion-inspired, aggressive design language are two sure bets. Beyond that, we really cannot say for sure. But, we do expect to know more soon. So, be sure to stay tuned as Belair Honda brings you continuous coverage on everything from new model launches to technological innovations.
