Yesterday, my wife, daughter and I had the opportunity to visit Bel Air Honda. In all honesty, I planned to drive from Anne Arundel County to Pennsylvania because I found a Honda Pilot up there that matched my wants/needs.  Still, I wanted to let give you guys a heads up about the same because I had multiple emails exchanges with Jennifer Ruth.  Moreover, I admittedly wanted to see how bad you all wanted my business. 

 

Though I generally insist on email contact, Jennifer convinced me to call her directly.  Without anything to lose, I touched base with her.  I gave her the specs of the vehicle I eyed up in PA.  She politely asked if she could speak to her bosses and give me a call back.  When she reached me later, Jennifer conceded you guys couldn't quite match the price but highlighted certain intangibles that gave me something to consider.

 

Thus, I agreed to stop at Bel Air Honda on my way to PA.  As requested, I asked for Carmelo and he warmly greeted me and my family,  Linda Rondo soon joined him and both patiently answered our questions and applied no pressure while my wife and I went over the vehicle.  My 20 month old seemed to enjoy the leather seats.

 

I complimented Carmelo for bringing the vehicle inside the garage area.  Even if we didn't have yesterday's rain, I feel more comfortable looking underneath the Pilot in an enclosed area.  When I mentioned the same to Carmelo, he relayed that he wants his customers to expect more out of a car dealership.

 

Long short, we test drove the Pilot and committed to buying it.  Knowing my toddler was getting restless, Linda worked diligently to prepare my paperwork.  Later, she even provided me a bag to retrieve my belongings from my trade-in.  Next, I met with a Business Manager.  Regrettably, I forgot his name and I left his card at my house.  (I am sending this email from work).  He's an African American gentleman who has an office directly across from the service lounge. Anyway, we talked as if we've known each other for years.

 

All in all, the staff at Bel Air Honda really made the difference yesterday.  From the onset, I felt as though the staff genuinely valued me and and my family as customers. Often, the thought of conducting business at a car dealership stresses me out.  Nonetheless, I must say that my experience yesterday at Bel Air Honda set the bar for excellence.

 

As a manager myself, I know the importance of having a good team.  Likewise, I trust you value feedback on your staff as I do with mine.  If you could tell Carmelo, Linda and the Business Manager how much I valued their professionalism yesterday, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you.
